Here to Serve You
LIZETTE VASQUEZ-PINTO, M.ED, LPC
Director of The Therapy Team
My life journey and experience has created in me a passion for the work I am currently privileged to be doing. My niche is working alongside teen girls and women who have anxiety, depression, life challenges and self-esteem issues. I like to keep things real. This is the place to be honest and messy. Nobody that steps foot in my door has all of their stuff together, including myself at times. I’m here to tell you it’s okay. I’m here t hear about it and help empower you while processing thoughts. You deserve to be heard.

If you’re reading this, it likely means that you’ve decided to seek therapy or are searching for a new counselor. The amount of love, care, and respect you’re showing yourself by doing so is something to be very proud of. Therapy can be nerve-racking because it might mean unpacking emotions that you’d really rather not. But addressing these things will allow you to benefit much more than you would by avoiding them. Whether you are wanting to learn more about yourself, heal from past trauma, grow as an individual, or anything in between, therapy is the place to do it!
One of my main goals as a counselor is that my clients feel heard. There is no concern too big or too small, and each one is just as valid. I offer a safe and accepting space where you’re able to explore your thoughts and feelings, and challenge yourself to grow. Everyone deserves to have a place to be vulnerable without fear of judgement.
Using a warm and compassionate approach, I will help you regain your balance and reach your goals. Your peace is my priority! If you feel that I might be a good fit for your journey, reach out for a free consultation and we can exchange some information. I look forward to hearing from you!

Play therapy? What’s that? How does it help? This is a question that I get asked quite often, and I am always excited to answer it!
As a play therapist in training, it is my unique privilege and honor during sessions with children to allow them a safe and no-expectation zone to “play out their inner world”.
It is usually developmentally normal for children to lack the words to express their deepest emotions relating to life events, parental expectations, familial relationships, school, and trauma. That is where play therapy shines the brightest! Play is not just something that children do, it is their primary language, it is a large part of how they develop social-emotional skills, coping skills, emotional regulation, and relationships. It builds autonomy, trust, confidence, and can even help with fine motor skills, and left and right brain hemisphere synchronicity.
In addition to offering play therapy, I also offer traditional counseling to preteens, teens, and adults, and like to utilize a number of creative-based interventions when applicable.
“You are blessed, you are amazing, you are wonderful, you are special, you are unique, you are talented, you are gifted, and you are loved.”
